At Mountain and Sea Dental, we believe in a patient-first philosophy that’s centered around putting your needs as our highest priority. From your initial consultation to the completion of your dental restoration, we’re here to walk you through every step of the way.
Let’s explore what goes into the dental implant process and how we make it easy.
Your Initial Consultation With Dr. Carley
The first step on the path to the smile of your dreams is your first consultation with Dr. Carley. He’s been restoring smiles for over twelve years and works with every patient to find the treatment plan that meets their unique needs.
During your no-obligation implant consultation, we’ll provide an in-depth exam of your teeth and jawbone, and evaluate your individual smile goals. If implants are the best solution for your smile, Dr. Carley will start developing your personalized treatment plan.
This is a great time for patients to ask any questions they may have about the dental implant process. By the time you leave our Santa Barbara office, you’ll be ready to make an educated decision about your restorative treatment. treatment.
Your Customized Treatment Plan
We believe our patients deserve nothing less than the best treatment available. Using CBCT technology, Dr. Carley will create a 3D model of your mouth to give us greater visibility. He’ll map out your implant procedure with a level of detail and accuracy never before available.
Our technology will help Dr. Carley later when he’s crafting a seamless restoration to match your natural smile. This means you can expect more precise treatments with fewer visits to our office.
Whether you’re getting a single dental implant or full arches of teeth replaced, we have the dental implant solutions to rejuvenate your smile. We also offer safe and effective sedation dentistry to make your time with us as peaceful and stress-free as possible.
Your Dental Implant Procedure
The process of placing your new dental implants happens in a few easy steps:
- Placing your fixture. Dr. Carley will make a small incision in your gum line to insert a titanium fixture. The incision will be sutured and covered with a temporary crown. After the surgery, you’ll be sent home to recover.
- Attaching an abutment. After your implant area has properly healed, we’ll attach a small piece called an abutment to your titanium fixture piece.
- Crafting your new tooth. While your implant area is healing, Dr. Carey will begin customizing your replacement tooth to perfectly match the shape, color, and texture of your real teeth.
- Securing the crown. The last step is for Dr. Carley to attach a beautiful porcelain crown to your abutment piece. Once this piece has been placed, you’ll be smiling with confidence again.
